Mission
The mission of the Mitchell Spearman Junior
Golf Program is to provide a select group of serious
young athletes with the best instruction available in
the New York metropolitan area.
Students will spend time both on the practice range
and out on the golf course, learning what it takes to
compete successfully at the highest levels, whether
they aspire to be top ranked high school or college
players, or dream of one day becoming star tour pros.
Format
Students will receive personalized instruction
from Mitchell Spearman and his trained staff
in all aspects of golf, and may elect to participate
in specialty courses devoted to physical conditioning,
yoga, and meditation.
Along with being fully equipped and outfitted by Nike
Golf, students will also receive golf program
computer software enabling them to record, track,
and obtain instant feedback on their learning progress.
Each daily session will feature a lively mix of short
game instruction, full swing instruction,
practice, and on-course skills competitions
geared to a specific weekly theme.

Locations
The original home of the Mitchell Spearman Junior
Golf Program is River Vale Country Club.
River Vale is a historic golf club in the heart
of Bergen County that has emerged as one of the
Metropolitan area's must-play venues. Designed by Orrin
Smith and legendary golf course architect Donald
Ross, Bergen Hills opened in 1931. It is
a timeless wonder that harkens back to golf's golden
era. The property features rolling fairways,
mature stands of trees and numerous glimpses
of the Tappan Reservoir.

A new
second camp location has recently been added
to the program at Doral Arrowwood Golf Course.
The Doral Golf Club offers nine spectacular holes
by Robert Van Hagge, the same mastermind behind
the famed Blue Monster in Miami. Critically
acclaimed as one of the most difficult nine-hole courses
in the country, the 3,200 yard, par-35 Doral Arrowwood
Golf Course features Van Hagge's trademark shadows,
bunkers and water hazards, engaging players
of every level. The golf course of choice in Westchester
County and among all New York state golf
courses.

player. A longstanding and avid supporter of junior
golf and minority youth golf programs, Nike Golf
is fully equipping and outfitting the
Mitchell Spearman Junior Golf Program.
All students will receive a set of Nike Golf clubs,
shoes, shirts, caps, and golf
bags as part of the program. Returning students
will receive additional products from Nike Golf.
